Hi Jann, I found, in ebay, your cassette titled "It Only Hurts When I Laugh", I got the last one the seller had, You must have recorded it before you got all of your rewards in Nashville, being it's a cassette, not a CD. Talked about it with the leader of a tour band and he said the (song), "It Only Hurts When I Laugh", was also sung by Dwight Yoakam.

I love your voice! I taped the video of "Mexican Wind" many years ago and I loved it.(It's very worn out and hard to hear now) I used to sing and play fiddle in a country western band (just local in west texas area) now, I'm too old for that but do sing Karaike style at a local mall on Saturdays. I went to a local night club a few weeks ago and the singer (male) sang "Mexican Wind" and I had a flash back of you doing that song, I dug thru all my old VHS's and found it and like I said, hard to see & hear. But since then I have researched everywhere to find the Album "Tell Me Why" I found it on Amazon.com but very expensive (you are worth it, I will order it) but would really love to find it (Mexican Wind) Karaoke style so I can also sing it. I googled and found this web site. I love you and your music! I'm not sure if I have the right person - but were you in Germany about 10-12 years ago singing at a friends wedding party with a makeshift band. You sat next to me and my wife and I bought a CD from you. I think you sang "hearts on the blue train" or something like that. You had long red hair so it may not be you. I have a video of you singing that night but would never post it anywhere.

Glad to see that you haven't thrown in the towel! I was privileged to have met you briefly a couple times on the Tell Me Why tour back in 1990. I took a bit of video of you and Vince Gill at your show in Roseville, CA which I have been posting on YouTube.com; I hope that is okay with you.
Tying up some loose ends, I was hoping for some information about your touring band on those shows: a drummer, a bassist, two guitarists, and a multi-instrumentalist. Your intro of them didn't come out well on tape; all i know is the rhythm guitarist gigged at lots of honky tonks with you, the drummer was from New Zealand, and the only name coming through the audio is bassist Don Waley(?).

Jann,I Have always loved the way you tell a story. It's pure. As natural as Oscar Petersen covers the keyboard or Nat King Cole sings Ramblin'Rose, you were meant to sing a song! My hat goes off to you and your band. A laguna Bch friend of mine, Dan Y., gave me the CD which contained White Roses. I recited the lyrics of that story to a crowded church gathering on a cold snowny Christmas Eve while standing next to my mother's casket. You know, she loved white roses and the timing was right. She was born and raised in the farming town of Batesville, Indiana. In my heart, I feel she heard the words to the story. So, I have always wanted to thank you for that and All the great songs. Jann-Nashville out front of ET-walloped them with all numbers but "Let the teardrops fall" well...they don't let some performers give their full force in the studio-you looked and sounded great-Bob Oerman told me that my favotite performer Wanda was releasing a duet on one of my all-time favorites " I forgot" -had to get the cd- and got hooked on your voice-Like your honky-tonk standards and mandoliin minor chord numbers-you're harmony is also a turn-on-liked "Count me in"-it;s you but nothing like the first 2 cds except for "Lugano"-To me it revealed a more poetic,profound person expressing her own experiences in her own way-had to listen to it instead of letting myself get carried away by just your voice-in other words-I like you and your works.
